Postdocs

We are always searching for driven and clear-minded researchers committed to contributing to a multidisciplinary research program that connects extensive neurophysiological recordings across multiple brain areas with machine learning and neuro-engineering in awake, behaving non-human primates. Working with us means being a part of a vibrant and cooperative atmosphere within the broad and diverse neuroscience community at UT Austin. The Elston Lab is committed to career development and actively supports diversity in science.

Please send your CV and a description of why you are interested in joining the lab to Thom (elston@utexas.edu). In particular, please describe why you want to work with non-human primates and feel free to pitch an idea! Ideally, this is the start of a collaborative relationship based on a shared passion for ideas.

Graduate Students

Prospective graduate students must apply and be admitted to either the Neuroscience, Psychology, Computer Science, or Engineering programs at UT Austin. If you are interested in the lab, please list us as a group you are interested in when applying.

Undergraduates

If you are a UT Austin undergraduate, please send Dr. Elston an email with your prior experience and your transcript (unofficial is fine) and we can arrange to meet or talk on the phone.
